The cost effective way to send mail within Vanuatu is to use the standard mail services- Letter or Parcel service.

There are over 60 locations nation wide and Port Vila is the main mail exchange office. All mail posted in any of the locations out from Vila are carried to Vila for sorting before being dispatched to the island location or nearest airport of the address.

The applicable Postage Rate is the same from all locations for all services.

Delivery of domestic mail between islands outside of Efate relies on air services. Delivery can range from 3- 10 working days between islands and in worst cases this may take longer if flights are affected or there is minimal number of flights per week.

Port Vila Mail Delivery:

Mail clearance from the posting boxes or street letter boxes within Port Vila each day for sorting on the same day and delivery by 3pm. Letters posted after 3 pm may not be cleared until next day and will be delivered that day. Mail posted before 3 pm will be delivered the next day.
