Princess Elizabeth, born in 1926 the first child of HM King George VI and HM Queen Elizabeth was educated at home with her interests including horse riding, amateur dramatics, swimming, and Girl Guides. She married Philip Mountbatten in 1947 and became Queen when she ascended to the throne on February 6, 1952 upon the death of her father. Her Coronation followed on June 2, 1953.

The Queen’s actual birthday is on 21st April and her official birthday is 17th June.
